Hello! Dan and Can (owners of this site) are a happily married couple (together since 1995) with 5 beautiful children. They have been deconstructing from evangelical Christianity since 2012. Welcome to their little corner of the web.
About Dan
Dan was raised in Catholicism. He attended all catholic schools and went to an all-boys Catholic high school.
Converting to evangelical Christianity to date Candi, Dan left Catholicism behind to pursue his new life as a protestant.
Eventually, Dan's spiritual path led him to deconstruct from all Christianity. He currently co-host on the Dan and Can Podcast.
His hobbies include brewing beer, cooking/baking, and spending time with family and friends. He loves a fresh-mowed lawn, sarcasm, and being a smart-ass (or a dumb-ass depending on your perspective).
About Can
Candi (Can) was raised as a non-denominational Christian eventually becoming an Evangelical Christian.
Becoming extremely devout in her walk with Christ, she chose to homeschool their 5 children for over a decade.
Can eventually stumbled into deconstruction by pursuing truth and following Jesus's teachings. She is currently a cohost on the Dan and Can Podcast.
Her hobbies include reading, crocheting, and hanging out with family/friends. She loves taking pictures of sunsets, having a good laugh, and encouraging others.
Candi is a hypnotherapist and spiritual guide for people looking for a safe space to deprogram from high-control religion. She is also certified as a Healing Arts Facilitator in a program called Paint From Your Soul where she helps people explore their own subconscious through the power of playing with paint.
